Understanding our refund and cancellation terms

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and cancellations are processed for the Talent Search Examination and associated training programs.

1. Important Notice

Currently, the Talent Search Examination registration is FREE. There is no application fee or examination fee. Therefore, the refund policy primarily applies to the training program fees for successful candidates.

Note: If application fees are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly, and candidates will be notified through official announcements.

2. Examination Registration

2.1 No Fee for Examination
  • The examination registration is currently free of cost
  • No payment is required to apply for the examination
  • No refund issues arise at the registration stage
2.2 Cancellation of Application

Candidate-Initiated Cancellation:

  • Candidates can withdraw their application before the examination date
  • To cancel, send an email to admissions@talentsearch.com with your application number
  • Cancellation requests must be received at least 48 hours before the examination
  • Once cancelled, you cannot re-register for the same examination cycle

Organization-Initiated Cancellation:

  • If we cancel the examination due to unforeseen circumstances, all candidates will be notified
  • A new examination date will be announced
  • Since there is no fee, no refund applies
  • Candidates may choose to appear in the rescheduled examination or withdraw

3.1 Payment Terms
  • Successful candidates selected for the training program must pay 10% of the total program fee
  • Payment must be made within 7 days of receiving the admission offer
  • Payment can be made through online banking, UPI, debit/credit cards, or demand draft
  • Payment confirmation will be sent via email
3.2 Refund Eligibility - Before Training Commencement

3.3 No Refund Situations

The 10% candidate contribution is NON-REFUNDABLE in the following cases:

  • After the training program has commenced (attendance taken on Day 1)
  • If the candidate is expelled due to misconduct or violation of training rules
  • If the candidate fails to maintain minimum attendance (85%)
  • If the candidate fails to complete assignments or assessments
  • If the candidate voluntarily withdraws after training commencement
  • If the candidate provides false information or fraudulent documents
  • If the candidate is found ineligible after admission

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund
  1. Submit Written Request: Send an email to refunds@talentsearch.com
  2. Include Required Information:
    • Full name and application number
    • Training program name
    • Payment transaction ID and date
    • Amount paid
    • Reason for cancellation
    • Bank account details for refund (Account holder name, Account number, IFSC code, Bank name)
  3. Attach Documents:
    • Copy of payment receipt
    • Copy of admission letter
    • Cancelled cheque or bank passbook copy
  4. Wait for Confirmation: You will receive an acknowledgment within 3 working days
4.2 Refund Processing Timeline
  • Verification: 5-7 working days to verify the refund request
  • Approval: 3-5 working days for approval/rejection decision
  • Processing: 10-15 working days to process the refund to your bank account
  • Total Timeline: 18-27 working days from request submission
Note: Refund timelines may vary depending on banking processes. Delays due to incorrect bank details are not our responsibility.
4.3 Refund Method
  • Refunds will be processed only to the original payment source when possible
  • For online payments, refunds will be credited to the same account/card used for payment
  • For demand draft payments, refunds will be processed via bank transfer
  • Refunds will be made in INR only, regardless of original payment currency

5. Training Program Cancellation by Organization

5.1 Full Refund Scenarios

100% refund will be provided if we cancel or postpone the training program due to:

  • Insufficient number of enrollments
  • Unavailability of industry sponsorship
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions)
  • Faculty or resource unavailability
  • Any other reason beyond candidate control
5.2 Refund Timeline for Organization-Initiated Cancellation
  • Candidates will be notified immediately via email and SMS
  • Full refund will be initiated automatically
  • Refund will be processed within 15 working days
  • No processing fee will be deducted
5.3 Option to Defer
  • If the program is postponed, candidates may choose to defer to the next batch
  • No additional payment required for deferred enrollment
  • Candidates who choose to defer are not eligible for refunds

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Medical Emergency
  • In case of serious medical emergency preventing participation, submit medical certificate
  • Request must be made within 7 days of the medical event
  • Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner required
  • Subject to review, partial refund (50-75%) may be granted
  • Or option to defer to next batch may be offered
6.2 Death in Family
  • In case of death of immediate family member (parent, spouse, child, sibling)
  • Submit death certificate and relationship proof
  • 75% refund or option to defer to next batch
6.3 Job Relocation
  • If candidate receives job offer requiring immediate relocation
  • Submit offer letter as proof
  • Request must be made before training commencement
  • 50% refund or option to transfer to another center (if available)

7. No Refund for Additional Costs

The following costs are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Cost of study materials and books provided
  • Cost of certificates already issued
  • Third-party service charges (payment gateway fees)
  • Any other incidental expenses incurred by the candidate

8. Refund Rejections

Refund requests will be rejected in the following cases:

  • Incomplete refund request form
  • Insufficient or invalid documentation
  • Request made after training commencement
  • Incorrect bank account details provided
  • Candidate expelled due to misconduct
  • Fraudulent documents or information provided
8.1 Appeal Process
  • If your refund request is rejected, you will receive a written explanation
  • You may appeal the decision within 15 days
  • Send appeal to grievance@talentsearch.com
  • The Grievance Committee will review and provide a final decision within 30 days
  • The Grievance Committee's decision is final and binding

9. Failed Transactions

  • If payment is deducted but transaction fails, amount will be auto-reversed by bank
  • Auto-reversal typically takes 5-7 working days
  • If not reversed within 10 working days, contact us with transaction details
  • We will coordinate with payment gateway to expedite reversal

10. Modifications to This Policy

  • We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time
  • Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website
  • The policy applicable at the time of your payment will govern your refund
  • We will notify major changes through email and website announcements

12. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes regarding refunds will be resolved through mutual discussion
  • If unresolved, the matter will be referred to the Grievance Committee
  • All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana
